A small company that runs its own shop.
Two Average Guys LLC owns and operates consumer brands in the promotional products and online retail markets, and builds the software those brands run on.
How we got here
We started by selling a physical product, and quickly ran into the problem every small consumer business runs into. The off the shelf tools each solved one slice of the work. Nothing connected the quote to the order, the order to the production run, the production run to the inventory count, or any of it to the customer waiting for an answer. The gaps were filled by spreadsheets and by people remembering things.
So we started building. First the pieces that hurt most, then the platform underneath them. Today our brands run on systems we wrote ourselves, and the two halves of the business feed each other. Operating the brands shows us what the software has to do. Owning the software means we can actually go do it.

Our brands are ours. We handle product development, sourcing, pricing, and the customer relationship directly, rather than reselling someone else's line.

Every internal tool we ship is used daily by the people who asked for it. That keeps us honest about whether it actually works.

A small team with good systems beats a large team with bad ones. We invest in the systems so the team can stay focused on customers.
Software we develop
All of the software listed below is developed in house by Two Average Guys LLC for use by our own brands and employees. We publish mobile and web applications for our internal teams and for the customers of our brands.
- Commerce platform. Customer facing storefronts and the catalog, cart, checkout, and order pipeline behind them.
- Operations and ERP systems. Accounts, quoting, orders, production scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and fulfillment, integrated with our accounting system.
- Mint, our operations assistant. A conversational internal tool that lets staff query and update the operations platform in plain language, available to our team on desktop and mobile.
